Gallaudet’s Midajah Davis earns United East Women’s Outdoor Track and Field First Team honor

LATHAM, N.Y. - The United East Conference released its 2025 All-Conference Outdoor Women's Track and Field teams and major awards.

Gallaudet University brought home one all-conference honor as senior thrower Midajah Davis (Roanoke, Va.) earned a first-team honor. Davis won the event on her first throw with a top toss of 11.15 meters (36 feet, seven inches) to earn 10 team points for Gallaudet, who finished sixth overall in the team standings. That was her best toss this season.

This was Davis' first United East outdoor conference championship title in the shot put event. Two years ago, Davis won the shot put in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) championships hosted by Gallaudet in 2023. During her first season with Gallaudet, Davis won the shot put at the 2022 CSAC championships. Davis has earned three all-conference first team honors during the outdoor track and field season in the shot put event.

All-conference honors, in the form of medals (gold, silver, bronze), were given to the top three finishers at the 2025 United East Outdoor Track and Field Championships held at the Thomas O. Berg Track in Washington, D.C., hosted by Gallaudet University on May 3-4.

St. Mary's (Md.) College won its first United East conference championship as the Seahawks earned 225 team points. Seahawks also took three major awards as freshman Rocksann Smith was named Field Athlete of the Year and Rookie of the Year and head coach Reava Potter was picked as Coach of the Year.

Carlow University graduate student Molly Wagner was selected as the Track Athlete of the Year. Wagner's teammate, junior Ella Cloak, took home the Elite 20, awarded to the student-athlete with the highest grade point average that competed this weekend.
