GLASSBORO, N.J. – The Gallaudet University women's outdoor track and field team traveled to compete at the Oscar Moore Invitational hosted by Rowan University here Saturday afternoon. The Bison competed against Division I, II and III teams at the Coach Richard Wackar Stadium. GU did not have a team score.
Sophomore
Olivia Armstrong (Rotterdam, N.Y.) placed 15th overall in the 5,000-meter run as she crossed the finish line with a time of 23 minutes and 44.31 seconds which is her new career best for the third consecutive meet.
First year
Joy Watkins (Hockley, Texas) finished 56th in the 1,500-meter run with a career best time of 6:14.29.
In the field events, first year
Mackenzie Schirg (Factoryville, Pa.) participated in the javelin and finished 12th overall with a top toss of 24.14 meters.
UP NEXT
GU will head back across the Bay Bridge to participate in the Eastern Shore Challenge next Saturday, April 19, at 11 a.m. at Salisbury University.
