LATHAM, N.Y. – The United East Conference announced its weekly conference student-athlete of the week awards for Dec. 22 and Gallaudet University first-year forward/center Natalie Greene (Fresno, Texas) was named Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week.
Greene continues to be a force for the Bison in each and every game as she set new career-high marks. Greene finished last week's game at Randolph College with a career best 25 points to go with eight rebounds. Greene went 9-for-14 from the free-throw line, which is a new high mark in a GU uniform for the first-year player. Greene is averaging 17.7 points per game and 8.9 rebounds per game through nine games.
Wilson College sophomore Leah Laubach was tabbed the Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week with a pair of double-doubles in games in Puerto Rico for the Phoenix.
GU HONORS
This is Gallaudet's first United East Women's Basketball Player of the Week honor this season. This is Greene's first United East Player of the Week award this season and in her women's basketball career.
