LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced its 2026 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors and Easton/NFCA Top 10 Academic Team rankings for collegiate and high school levels.
The Gallaudet University softball program had seven individuals earn Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors by earning a 3.5 grade-point average or higher during the 2025-26 school year. The Bison student-athletes include Seanna Baird (Indianapolis, Ind.), Kinsley Bond (Beulaville, N.C.), Tori Cushshon (St. Louis, Mo.), Lacey Drolsbaugh (Lansdale, Pa.), Mattea King (Capitol Heights, Md.), Leokadia Saunders (Indianapolis, Ind.) and Sophia Wascher (Noblesville, Ind.). GU has now garnered 36 honors on seven different occasions in the program's history. This was the second appearance for Bond (2025, '26) and Drolsbaugh (2023, '26).
The Bison were one of five programs from the United East Conference to earn Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors. Penn State Brandywine led the way with 14 honorees followed by Penn St.-Abington (13), Lancaster Bible College (10). Gallaudet and Penn College had seven honorees each for a total of 51 student-athletes from United East programs.
Lancaster Bible posted a 3.730 team grade point average to place 10th among the 120 schools in the NCAA Division III team rankings. Penn St.-Abington (3.580) and Penn St.-Brandywine (3.530) received honorable mention accolades.
The rankings and honors recognize the academic prowess of softball teams across the Association's membership categories. Across all collegiate divisions, 8,852 student-athletes captured All-America Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2025-26 academic year. NCAA Division I led the way with 2,637 student-athletes earning a 3.5 grade-point average or higher for 2025-26. NCAA Division III followed with 2,493 and NCAA Division II with 1,869. NAIA and Junior Colleges came in with 1,190 and 655 student-athletes, respectively.
Team GPAs and scholar-athletes are submitted by NFCA member head coaches.
