ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – The third day of the 2026 Atlantic East Conference swimming championships wrapped up here Saturday night at The Aquatics Center at the Michael P. O'Brien Athletics & Recreation Center on the campus of St. Mary's College of Maryland.
The evening started with a special senior tribute to the seniors from the participating teams who will graduate this year. The seniors had the chance to march out and receive recognition for their commitment to their academics and sport.
After 12 events, Gallaudet women's swimming sits in sixth place out of six teams with 139 points.
First year
Adelle Patton (Puyallup, Wash.) was the only Bison in two individual finals on Saturday night. Patton took eighth place in the 400-yard IM with a time of 6:09.89. Later in the evening, Patton finished 12th in the 100-yard backstroke (1:16.90).
Gallaudet had two swimmers in the 100-yard breaststroke in first years
Mary Figueroa (Moreno Valley, Calif.) and
Eliza Peterson (Snellville, Ga.) as the duo finished 12th (1:50.16) and 14th (1:57.02), respectively.
First year
Hope MacPeek (Russellville, Ark.) took 14th in the 200-yard freestyle as she touched the wall in 2:29.14.
The Bison concluded the night in the 400-yard medley relay as the team of sophomore
Alecia Miller (Litchfield., Ill.), Figueroa, Patton and MacPeek took sixth place (6:07.81) and secured 26 team points.
The women's 400-yard medley relay had the most exciting finish of the night as Marymount (Va.) University edged out St. Mary's (Md.) for first place with a time of 4:02.32 while the Seahawks touched the wall in 4:02.43.
It is a close competition for the 2026 championship as the host Seahawks hold a slim six-point margin over Marymount (Va.) University. St. Mary's (Md.) has 519 team points while the Saints have 513. Marywood University continues to eye a spot on the podium as remains in third place (421 team points). Immaculata University checks in at fourth (269), Cedar Crest College is fifth (176) and Gallaudet is sixth (139).
