LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference (AEC) announced its 2024-25 All-Academic Team as it recognized 1,232 student-athletes across its seven-member conference along with seven affiliate member schools that added 79 student-athletes.
Gallaudet University is one of the seven affiliate member schools in the AEC as the Bison compete in men's and women's swimming. The Bison men's team placed fifth at the 2025 Atlantic East Conference championships while the women's team finished sixth.
The Atlantic East Conference All-Academic Team recognizes full-time student-athletes who achieved a grade-point average of 3.20 or better during the 2024 fall semester and the 2025 spring semester.
Gallaudet had six student-athletes from the men's swimming team and 12 student-athletes from the women's swimming team honored out of 24 on the two teams combined (75 percent).
The six swimmers from the men's team include;
Sean Berry (St. Augustine, Fla.),
Allen Davis (Port St. Lucie, Fla.),
Matteo Giansanti (Rome, Italy),
Driss Oukake (Amsterdam, Netherlands),
Miguel Pavao (Frederick, Md.) and
Alex Wilding (Santa Fe, N.M.).
The 12 swimmers from women's team include;
Ashley Corcoran (Broussard, La.),
Danielle Fisher (Pittsburgh, Pa.),Â
Molly Headrick (Vista, Calif.),
Jaelynn King (Springfield, Pa.),Â
Sam Michaelson (Southwick, Mass.),
Alecia Miller (Litchfield, Ill.),
Melany Salcedo Benavides (Woodbridge, Va.),Â
Tiadra Vang (Kansas City, Kan.),
Joy Watkins (Hockley, Texas),
Kathe Wilken-Yoder (Oviedo, Fla.) and
Thea Wrenn (Anchorage, Alaska). GU had 85.7 percent of its women's team on the 2024-25 Atlantic East Conference All-Academic Team.
This was Gallaudet's fifth year in the Atlantic East as an affiliate member for men's and women's swimming and diving.
