ARLINGTON, Va. – The Gallaudet University men's swimming team lost 156-19 to Marymount (Va.) University here Saturday in an Atlantic East Conference meet.
Gallaudet (1-7, 1-2 Atlantic East), who hosted a conference meet the day before, only had four swimmers compete in Saturday's meet.
Marymount (5-3, 4-0 Atlantic East) swept the top three spots in eight of the 11 events.
Sophomore
Jules Yance (Danville, Ky.) had Gallaudet's only second-place finish. Yance placed second in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 14:39.17. Yance later finished fourth in the 200-yard breaststroke (3:17.57).
Senior
Nick Hohrman (Fergus Falls, Minn.) finished third in the 200-yard backstroke (2:38.29) and fourth in the 200-yard IM (2:40.17).
Freshman
Trent Mora (Austin, Texas) placed fourth in the 100- and 200-yard freestyle events with times of 1:03.85 and 2:27.51, respectively.
Freshman
Sethan Rolofson (Gardner, Kan.) just missed out on a third-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle as he touched the wall in 28.09 seconds.
The quartet formed Gallaudet's 200-yard freestyle relay team and placed third with a time of 1:58.28.
UP NEXT
Gallaudet will host Cabrini University and Marywood University next Saturday, Jan. 21, at 1 p.m. in a double-dual conference meet at the Field House pool. The meet will mark Senior Day for the Bison swim program.
