OWINGS MILLS, Md. - The Gallaudet University women's swimming and diving program lost its regular-season finale here Saturday to Stevenson University, 154-95, at the McDonogh School.
Gallaudet (4-7) set nearly a dozen personal records in the loss. Sophomore Jackie Perkins (Hampton, Va.) picked up Gallaudet's two wins as she finished first in the 50- and 100-yard breaststroke events with times of 34.83 and 1:16.56, respectively. Perkins finished second in the 50-yard butterfly as she narrowly lost with a time of 32.98.
Junior Jana Kiefer (Leander, Texas) was second in the 1,000-yard freestyle with personal best time of 13:50.34. Sophomore Jessica Monroe (Senoia, Ga.) was second in the 100-yard butterfly (1:19.03) as she edged out Kiefer in third (1:24.28). Monroe took second in the 500-yard freestyle (6:43.41) while senior Faye Frez-Albrecht (Canton, Conn.) was third (8:00.36).
Stevenson (4-6) won 12 of the 14 events led by Julianna Burnett, who won three individual events and was a member of a first-place relay team.

- Kiefer set a personal best time in the 100-yard IM (1:24.39) where she was third
- Monroe was third in the 200-yard freestyle (2:26.94) with a personal best
- Junior Alisia Metante (Pleasanton, Calif.) was third in the 50-yard backstroke (37.16) and 100-yard freestyle (1:05.39)
- Metante posted a personal best 29.37 in the 50-yard freestyle where she was fourth
- Junior Alyssa Hanbury (Orlando, Fla.) was third in the 50-yard butterfly (38.92)
- Freshman Jin Xianyu (Chengdu, China) set a personal best with her third-place finish in the 50-yard backstroke (1:03.91)
- Xianyu was third in the 100-yard breaststroke (2:17.32)
- GU's 200-yard medley relay team finished second (2:18.78)
- There was no diving event

Gallaudet completes its regular-season schedule and will next prepare for the 2018 North Eastern Athletic Conference championship which will be held Feb. 16-18 in Cobleskill, N.Y. The Bison finished fifth in last year's conference championship.
