St. Mary's, MD.- The Bison (2-16-1 CAC 0-15)
dropped both ends of their double-header to CAC opponent St. Mary's
College (13-12 CAC ), 9-3 and 14-7.
In game one, the Seahawks jumped on the Bison early as they took an
8-0 lead into the fourth inning. Gallaudet rallied, but was
unable to overcome a stingy St. Mary's pitching staff losing
9-3. John
Bingham took the loss for the Bison as Bingham gave up nine
runs and seven walks in five innings.
Zane Noschese
led the Bison offensively batting 2/3 with one run scored.
In game two, Gallaudet struck first, taking a 2-0 lead in the first
inning. The Seahawks scored the next seven runs, taking a 7-0
lead into the fifth inning. The Bison bats came alive in the
fifth inning as they tallied five runs to knot the game at
7-7. That lead, however, was short lived where in the bottom
of the inning St. Mary's exploded with seven runs of their own to
take the insurmountable 14-7 lead. John Moore took the
loss for the Bison as he gave up 14 runs (nine earned) on 11 hits
in five innings.
In game two, Ryan
Hastings led the Bison offensively going 2/4 with two runs
scored.
Gallaudet is back in action on Wednesday as they travel to
nationally-ranked Salisbury University for a single game.
First pitch is slated for 3:30pm.
